A woman MBA in a stalled career, a troubled Brazilian company, and a fledgling consulting team far from Boston headquarters inhabit this compelling tale of cultural contrasts, business intrigue, and personal transformation.
Those who join protagonist Beth Bartlett as she yoyos between Boston and Brazil will share the inner conflicts that challenge hidden assumptions and cause her to question the meaning of the good life.

A fast-paced plot carries readers from roadside slums to smoke-filled boardrooms, from Boston Ballet to bossa nova, from Rolex-clad haves to barefoot have-nots. Along the way, Ivy League consultants, demanding shareholders, baffling Brazilians, and a street-smart Argentine reveal an insider s view of international business and strategy formulation.

Then, amidst this journey of self-discovery, a surprising love story unfolds. As her two worlds collide, Beth s strategic choices reshape her client and her career, her love and her life. Beth s transformation and its costs echo the personal drama faced when one ventures far from home in search of opportunity or growth, making this story as timely and relevant as it is entertaining.

The book has alot of potential but I felt it was still in a draft stage. It needs a good editor to help the author develop her characters to be more believable. As it was was a story showing the growth if a woman who was in a high powered job in a man oriented workplace who in real life is portrayed as a controlled mouse with a domineering husband, it just didn't click for me. The extremes portrayed as the author shows us Beth were not realistic to me.
I think the author was trying to parallel the struggle of a small business in Brazil to survive with the growth and development of Beth, the marketing consultant to this firm. She is sent to Brazil and the experience changes her. Characters are introduced one way and seem to end up another. Other characters are introduced, appear briefly and then disappear. Thus, to me it needs some overhauling to be a good read.
It was interesting to read about Brazil, the climate for business growth, and the culture of the country.

Until Brazil eBook Bethe Lee Moulton Reviews

I was transported to unique places and revisited years of long red-eye flights, hustling taxi rides in unsafe automobiles, workweeks with strangers in unfamiliar languages and cultures, calls home to find out how much I was missing daughters and sons growing up too fast and lonely nights at first-rate hotels.

Until Brazil rekindled the spirit with which we started our world travels for work and found fresh starts in undiscovered places and unfound corners of our inner souls.

Definitely an entertaining and lively novel for all those who have made their lives a truthful discovery of the world, and for those that are just starting a new journey.
Vale a leitura !!
The story was an eye opener on the culture shock americans experience when living in a different country, with different foods, a foreign language, different values and different socio-economic situations.

A fresh, sometimes funny and intriguing story with plenty of Brazilian flavor that is easy to read and very enjoyable.
Great read! Surprising romance! And for seasoned business people and travelers, plausible plot! Hope Ms Moulton has a sequel!
As vezes excessivamente circunspecta e irritantemente disciplinada.
Difícil começar a ler e parar. Recomendo.
This book talks about Sue who took a corporate business trip to Brazil. Throughout her journey, she learned more about her business and the owner of the business. Many experiences and memories are portrayed within each chapter. As I began going through the book, I enjoyed the imagery perfectly outlined. Books like these remind me of plots like MacBeth. The author has tenacity in her writing and writes from the heart!

I recommend this book to readers who love reading about adventures and those who have visited or stayed in Brazil during their lifetime.
